This is one of several OG Chinese restaurants in Chinatown, and a constant place I've been to since I was little. For this visit, I went here with a group of 5 for dim sum on a Monday for lunch. Inside has plenty of seating BUT it does get really full during weekends and even sometimes during their late hours. For dim sum, you check off what you want on a paper menu and the dishes get brought to you. Food came out very quickly and service was fast and prompt; we got tea and water whether we called for it or not. As for the food, their shrimp dumplings and shu mai were fresh; the taro bun didn't have too much taro filling and wasn't overly sweet hence the balance between savory and sweet was on point; the steamed rice roll with fried donut always hits the spot and they did this one well with some added green onions; and the egg tarts were the right amount of sweet. Everything else was all right and not too memorable. One of my favorite spots in Chinatown for dim sum in particular, and will still be a regular here for that and dinner to come!
I used to go here many many years ago during my late nights out in Seattle. Haven't been in maybe at least 10 years, but my cousin was flying in from LA a bit late and wanted some Chinese food and chose this place out of the options I gave her. We ordered the Lemongrass Drunk Clams, Beef Chow Fun Dry Style, Yangzhou Fried Rice, and the Deep Fried Crispy Pork Intestine. Everything was tasty, and we got full quicker than we expected. The leftovers were still good the next though. The one thing we preferred was for the Deep Fried Crispy Pork Intestine to be crispier.
This restaurant has been in the area for a long time now. Always packed every time we come, a long wait but fast service. Dim sum is always good, we are a repeat customers! Great place for family, it's worth a try!
Solid spot for dim sum! I like how for this spot you can reserve ahead of time online if you have a party of 10 or more people, especially since the waits at dim sum places on weekend mornings can be quite long! I was able to reserve a table for 10 ahead of time and the food was pretty good! Especially loved the cheung fun and the honey walnut prawns. Everything else was fine but have had better elsewhere bur still good!
Friends from the FB Cantonese Food Recipes page recommended this restaurant when I was planning a recent vacation. We arrived before noon and was pleased there was a parking lot adjacent. After placing our dim sum order, the waiter double checked the sticky rice item I selected. He was right: I meant to order the Mini Sticky Rice Lotus Wrap, but I checked the wrong item. I appreciated the attention to detail. Everything arrived hot and fresh. Hubby was happy to see Baked BBQ buns. We devoured the Golden fried dumplings, Ha gow, Shui mai, Pan fried radish cake, and Egg tarts. For an older location, it was nice to see a pretty cherry blossom mural alongside our table. Great place!
YOU ALREADY KNOW WHAT IT IS! This is the spot to be for some Chinese food. This is a place to be after you got some drinks at the bars in Belltown. Or after the clubs in Cap Hill. It opens till 4 am on Friday - Saturday and it's packed up. The servers are always on top of things, and nice. Obviously, the restaurant itself is not insanely clean, but you know a clean Chinese restaurant means the food is mid. So there you go. Ask for the set meal menu and it my opinion it's a deal. Comes with soup and white rice, and chicken or honey walnut shrimp. The food bangs for real, we try to get different options every time we go there and 90 percent of the time, it hits.
This has been a go-to restaurant for my family over the years in ID/Chinatown! They have remodeled and it is a really nice dining experience. There is an adjacent parking lot, not free, or you can park on the street. A lot of people know honey court for dim sum, which is delicious, but they are also open late and really good for dinner as well! This time my family and I enjoyed the combo meal and ordered a few dim sum items (shrimp dumpling, siu mai, chicken feet, braised pork, bbq pork bun). The service was excellent, the staff were very accommodating as we brought a cake for grandmas birthday! Highly recommend, it's a very solid Chinese restaurant.
Pretty solid dim sum! My husband and I came on a Sunday around 10am and it was a pretty packed restaurant but we were able to get seated upon entering. They don't do the dim sum carts, but they offer a nice dim sum menu with a good variety. Service was quick and efficient. Food: + siu mai - very tasty and a must get for dim sum + steam chinese sausage bun - liked the bun but didn't care for the sausage + steam prawns rice roll - the sauce on this was a bit bland + corn and shrimp dumpling - always really loved this! + sweet rice cake - this was ok. Overall, it was a decent dim sum experience. I haven't found a dim sum spot that I love in Seattle yet.
Visited on a Sunday night (Father's Day) and it wasn't too busy, so we got seated very quickly. Food: Honey Court is one of the few places I strongly recommend if you're craving Chinese food in the Seattle area. As a Chinese family, we agreed their food is on point. We had the beef stir-fried noodles, salt & pepper crab (MSP), and sweet & sour pork. The noodles were perfectly paired with mustard and not too oily, which is rare. The crab was seasoned excellently. We were very pleased with the food. Customer Service: Service was typical for an Asian restaurant; you need to flag down staff for attention. Ambiance: Pleasant dining atmosphere with plenty of tables and not too noisy. We will definitely return!
Super busy even at 830pm on a Saturday but worth the wait. Turnaround for tables were pretty quick as there are many tables and servers are super efficient. - honey walnut shrimp was a fave for the kids - clam congee fave foe the adults - wonton soup terrific but will try the sui kau next time - braised pork was saltier than usual but went well with congee
